Craig Stevens, R.Ph.
Group Vice President of Business Development and Trade Relations
Craig is responsible for developing Diplomat's new business and overseeing trade relations.
Prior to joining Diplomat, Craig was Senior Vice President & Practice Leader for Evergreen Rx negotiating contracts and managing performance of prescription benefits for Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial health plans across the United States. He was also Vice President for Walgreens Health Services directing ancillary businesses outside of the retail store channel including pbm, mail, specialty, infusion and institutional.
Before that, as Vice President for UnitedHealth Group, Craig was a founding member responsible for the strategic direction, formulary, benefit design and implementation of the AARP Medicare Part D program. He also spent three years in London as a Director for Diversified Health Systems (SmithKline Beecham), where he conceived and championed value added health information services to the European marketplace including associated business models.
Craig graduated from South Dakota State University and received an M.B.A. from Saint Cloud State University in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. He is a licensed pharmacist and received his A.S.H.P. Hospital Residency from Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Oregon.
Ryan E. Ruzziconi
Vice President & General Counsel
Ryan is responsible for all legal and health care regulatory matters affecting Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, its subsidiaries and divisions. He has diverse experience in health care law, contracting, employment law, and corporate matters.
Prior to joining Diplomat, Ryan was Assistant General Counsel for an international manufacturing company with its headquarters in central Wisconsin. He also spent several years as an attorney with a regional law firm in Wisconsin.
Ryan graduated from Marquette University Law School (J.D. 2003) and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (B.S. 1999). He also holds law licenses in both Michigan and Wisconsin. Ryan is certified in healthcare compliance (CHC) by the National Health Care Compliance Association.
He is also involved in several community organizations and activities, including serving as a Commissioner on the Oxford Village Planning Commission.
Sean Whelan
Chief Financial Officer
Sean Whelan, Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all aspects of Diplomat’s financial management. Prior to joining Diplomat, Sean was the Chief Financial Officer of InfuSystem Holdings, Inc. (INHI), a publicly traded healthcare services company located in Madison Heights, MI. He was instrumental in ensuring InfuSystem’s success in such diverse areas as profitable revenue growth, capital markets, debt raising, acquisition and integration, and also oversaw the Information Technology and Human Resources organizations during periods of rapid growth. Prior to joining InfuSystem, Sean held senior finance positions with Ford Motor Company from 1996 through 2007, including serving as accounting director for Automotive Components Holdings, LLC, a Ford subsidiary, where he had direct oversight, financial and divestiture responsibility for the $5.0 billion entity.
Sean has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Accounting degree, both from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. He received his CPA certificate in 1995, his Certified Internal Auditor certificate in 1996 and has been 6-Sigma Black Belt certified since 2000.
Hetty Lima
VP of Specialty Infusion Services
Hetty Lima, R.Ph, F.A.S.H.P., VP of Specialty Infusion Services, leads the sales and operations for Diplomat’s specialty infused product line including the national nursing network.
An accomplished healthcare executive with over 27 years of home infusion/specialty pharmacy experience, Hetty has extensive experience in turnaround situations for health care product and service arenas, biopharmaceutical product launch, business development, marketing & market strategy, sales management, and Federal & State Healthcare Lobbying. She has held executive level positions within the healthcare industry including Baxter Healthcare, CVS/Caremark’s Specialty Pharmacy division and Coram’s Hemophilia Services division.
A graduate of University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy, Hetty is also the past President of the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) Section of Home Care Practitioners. Hetty has lectured at national pharmacy and nursing meetings and has published extensively on the clinical and practical aspects of home infusion and specialty pharmacy. Her work has appeared in numerous pharmacy and nursing journals and pharmaceutical texts.
Robert Fleckenstein
VP of Operations
Robert Fleckenstein, VP of Operations, oversees the day-to-day operations of the National Distribution Center, Patient Service Operations, Call Center, Oncology Department, and other patient facing services at Diplomat’s Corporate Headquarters. He is actively involved in the design and development of employee training, compliance, and other executive management functions.
Robert has held several executive positions in the healthcare industry including Vice President of Pharmacy Operations at Allion Healthcare, Inc. and CVS ProCare Mail Service, Regional Manager, Oncology Pharmaceutical Services at US Oncology, Director of Pharmacy and Customer Service at Stadtlander Drug Company and General Manager at Healthcare Management Inc./Murray Pharmacy. He holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Katz School of Business and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy. In addition, Robert is a member of the American Society of Hospital Personnel (ASHPA), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), and Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Phil Hagerman, R.Ph.
President and CEO
Phil is a 1975 graduate of Ferris State University. He started Diplomat with his father, Dale Hagerman, that same year. Phil immersed himself in all areas of the business and in 1990, took on the role of president. Phil has been a regular speaker at state and national pharmacy and hospice conferences on practicing creative pharmacy; and developing and marketing a specialty pharmacy practice.
Phil was named Pharmacist of the Month by Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA), a national network of over 1000 specialty pharmacies. He also received the Innovative Pharmacy Practice Award from The Michigan Pharmacists Association; and the Blue Chip Award for Outstanding Business Practices from the United States Chamber of Commerce. In 2010, Phil was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Michigan and Northwest Ohio Region. In 2011 he was named Grant Thornton Leader and Innovator of the Year. Further, Phil has led the company's tremendous growth period, and in 2009, 2010, 2011 Diplomat was named as one of INC. Magazine's fastest growing private companies in America.
Phil has worked as a consultant for the United States Department of Justice, and served as an expert witness in cases of drug diversion. He is an adjunct instructor of Clinical Pharmacy for Ferris State University.
Jeffrey M. Rowe, R.Ph.
Co-owner and Sr. Vice President of Operations
Jeff is a 1979 graduate of Ferris State University. Jeff’s broad range of knowledge includes diabetes, asthma, and other areas of disease state management. He is also an expert in the field of compounding custom medications and complementary medicine. Jeff enjoys improving a patient’s knowledge base and often lectures to healthcare workers and patients on the subjects of compounding, men’s health, diabetes and asthma. He completed the NCPA Diabetes Certificate Program and is a graduate of the Asthma Educator Course at Mott Community College.
Before taking on his role at Diplomat, Jeff owned two, successful independent pharmacies. He now serves as an adjunct faculty member for the College of Pharmacy at Ferris State University. He is a past treasurer of the Michigan Pharmacy Association and past president of the Genesee County Pharmacy Association. Jeff also volunteers at the Genesee County Free Clinic.
Mark Neville
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Mark is Diplomat’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing. He is a 20 year executive in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and laboratory industries. He is responsible for leading and developing Diplomat’s Sales & Marketing team. Mark brings extensive experience in sales management, creating/deploying sales and marketing strategies, and launching new therapies nationwide. His professional life has been well rounded with both Fortune 500 companies as well as start up biotechnology organizations.
Mark holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Communications and a minor in Biology from Michigan State University.
Atheer A. Kaddis, PharmD.
Vice President of Managed Markets
Atheer Kaddis received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wayne State University in 1994. He is currently Vice President of Managed Markets with Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy and his responsibilities include national managed care sales and account management, clinical program development, and utilization management and disease management programs.
Dr. Kaddis began his career as a staff pharmacist at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan and continued his hospital pharmacy experience as a Clinical Oncology Specialist at Grace Hospital in Detroit; he also worked in the community pharmacy setting.
Dr. Kaddis joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in 1997 as Clinical Program Manager dedicated to the Ford Motor Company account and also had Drug Information
responsibilities. Dr. Kaddis joined Merck-Medco (now Medco Health) in 2000 as Associate Director in Clinical Account Management. He returned to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan as Director of Pharmacy Services Clinical with responsibilities including formulary development, clinical program development, utilization management programs, specialty pharmacy programs, and pay for performance programs.
Dr. Kaddis is a member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and Michigan Pharmacists Association.
